How it works

A vetted shop. An honest community.

The Sleep Shop is built around one idea: sleep is personal, and the best recommendations come from people who get it. Here's how the platform actually works.

For shoppers

Find brands you can actually trust.

How vetting works

Every brand on TheSleepShop.co goes through a manual review before it gets listed. We check who's behind the product, what the claims are, how returns are handled, and whether it's been used by real sleepers. Brands that don't pass don't get a page — there's no "pay to list."

How reviews work

Reviews are written by signed-in members who have actually used a product. Every review carries the sleeper's context — position, condition, how long they used it — so you can find people who sleep like you. We don't edit reviews, and brands can't remove them. Brands can reply publicly.

How the suggestion system works

When you finish the onboarding quiz, we tag you as a sleeper type (side sleeper, hot sleeper, cervical fusion recovery, and so on). The shop reorders to put the most relevant brands first. The community feed surfaces conversations from people with similar profiles. Nothing is hidden — you can browse the whole shop anytime.

For community members

Post, suggest, and confirm what worked.

How to post

Pick a group that fits — Neck Pain Sleepers, Hot Sleepers, CPAP & Snoring, Pillow Graveyard, and more. Write what you're dealing with or what's helped. Be honest. Be kind. That's the whole rulebook.

How to suggest a product

On any reply you can attach a vetted brand from the shop as an inline suggestion card. It links to the brand page and shows ratings — no random affiliate links, no spam.

What "Worked for me ✓" means

When the original poster tries something a community member suggested and it helped, they tap "Worked for me." It's a quiet teal confirmation under the suggested card — a small signal, but over time it's the most honest data on the site about what actually solves what.

For brands

A home for the brands worth trusting.

How listing works

Apply through For brands. We review every application personally. Approved brands get a profile page with founder story, products, reviews, and a "How we've improved" section to share updates made in response to community feedback. Three tiers (Basic, Featured, Premier) control visibility and surface area.

The community rules, plainly

Don't review your own products. Don't downvote competitors. Respond to reviews publicly and respectfully — including the critical ones. Disclose any relationship. Break these rules and you lose the listing. We mean it.

How to apply

Head to /for-brands, tell us about your product and the people you serve, and we'll be in touch. Most decisions take a week or less.
